Cie Art-Track | HHGc Holland 2017

HHGC is an innovative dance event which has been specifically designed to create connection between Battle and choreographic performance. Improvisation is the core principle of HHGC. It enables dancers to push their limits, to reveal new facets of their potential and to experiment art transdiciplinarity. On stage, four teams of dancers compete in a series of judged events or trials attended by many special guests.

The HHGc HOLLAND winning team will be selected to the HHGc International Final which will take place on the 25th of November 2017 in Lille, and will meet teams from France, La Réunion and Denmark…

LEOCARIA – AWOR AKI

Eye-catching appearance Junadry Leocaria (1985, Willemstad) is a strong urban dancer, specialized in waacking. She has been working in the professional theater/dance field for over 13 years. Junadry has been part of the urban theater dance company ISH for 8 years and performed in several shows for the urban dance company Don’t Hit Mama.

AMENTI COLLECTIVE

Amenti Collective is a dance collective that creates art to inspire others to pursue their own calling. They aim to spread awareness and creativity troughout the globe by the art they create and by bringing their audience towards a new state of mind and giving them a positive life lasting experience. Gil the Grid, founder of Amenti Collective brought all these different energies together to help them and each other develop their crafts and to grow as human beings and as a whole.

THE DOUBLE COLLECTIVE

Dalton Jansen met Gihan Koster two years ago, the striking resemblance to former colleague Terencio Douw immediately struck him. The Double is a meeting of two same dancers, who challenge each other but also show their strengths and weaknesses. It imparts a deep layer of physical energy that is about getting to know yourself with the eyes of another. Is The Double een a real double, or just a fantasy?

ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE

Juersson Hermanus is a dancer from Groningen that started developing himself at a theater school and later he found urban dance. During his journey he combined theater, urban dance, Caribbean culture and traditions to connect with not only artists but also the public. As an artist/person you put yourself constantly in hard situations so you can challenge yourself to break free and that is what collective One Nation Under A Groove stands for.

Khoudia découvre le Hip Hop a Dakar pendant son adolescence. Elle part pour l’Europe en 2004, ou elle approfondit sa connaissance de divers styles, dont la Housedance. Elle prend part a différentes compétitions, en 2012, elle décide de rentrer vivre au Sénégal, afin de partager les connaissances obtenues pendant ses voyages, et de contribuer au développement de la culture Hip Hop dans son pays natal.

NEDDA SOU

CHOREGRAPHER

Professional Dancer, Choreographer and Coach Nedda Sou, was born in 1988 and grew up in the Netherlands. She came in contact with and got inspired by dance at a young age trough clubs, festivals and television shows.While she learned everything through freedom she made her way as an autodidact into the professional national and international dance world by dancing for different commercial shows and theater productions

LLOYD MARENGO

DANCER / CHOREGRAPHER

Lloyd has the remarkable gift to transform the quick and powerful dance vocabulary of the Bboys, into an utmost controlled and vulnerable dance theater form.
As a maker, lloyd experiments with movement and uses his own experience as a dancer to convert into a form with a striking tendency to precision and control.

TRIAL 1 : Scenography (Crew)

The space transformed with different scenery elements. Each crew explore this new playground to offer an acrobatic jam session.

MVP : THE DOUBLE COLLECTIVE

TRIAL 4 : Varied Playlist (Solo)

A duel between HHGc Dj and a dancer from each team. An unknown and random playlist spins. The challenger has to create an evolutive character to share a story through the different tracks.

TRIAL 3 : Accessory Wheel (Duo)

A duo from each crew faces the famous accessory wheel. They start improvising on tracks (DJ) and Beatbox. Then, the mysterious object appears on stage…

TRIAL 2 : The Source (Solo)

A guest artist starts his/her creation on stage… Everything is permitted: accessories, costumes, support, etc. Then, the challenger join and improvise with the artist and his/her universe.

TRIAL JOKER (Crew)

A « carte blanche ». Each crew is able to explode and reveal to the audience their true potential. A show, a piece of creation, a moment dedicated to their own universe.
