MALIK BERKI

Malik

COMPOSITEUR / DJ

DJ and composer of the early years of the Hip Hop Games, Jean Lévy Prize 2008 and in close collaboration with Romuald Brizolier, Malik Berki has been multiplying musical experiences for the past fifteen years by playing on the mix of genres. Because Malik sees music as a way to tell stories and convey emotions, his creations, with tones of very diverse influences, fuel the work of numerous live performance productions, around thirty to date (Marie-Claude Pietragalla, Farid Berki, Kader Belarbi, Thierry Poquet …).

His versatility leads him to work with several musical groups with varied styles: jazz (André Minvielle, Compagnie Lubat, Marc Perrone …), hip hop (Gaza Team, L’Inconscient, Jazz Phase), rock (Steve Austin) or electro / jazz (NESS). In 2010, he created “Rysha Coda”, a trans-cultural musical experimentation laboratory, which brought him to Yemen, Kuwait and Nicaragua.
